Chapman University Internationals
April 2, 2015
Dear International Students: Join the Center for Global Education and Cross-Cultural Engagement for Windows of the World: Uniting Cultures Through Conversation next Tuesday, April 7, at 12PM in the Wilkinson Founders Chapel. This dialogue will explore the topics of acculturation, culture shock, integration into new cultures, and cultural identity. It is meant to foster connections among Chapman students using conversations to support cross-cultural understanding. This is a special opportunity for students who have experienced these topics in another country and can relate to international students experiencing these at Chapman. Email Haley at crosscultural@chapman.edu to RSVP or for more information.

Hi! My name is David May and I graduated from Chapman University in 2005 with a BFA in Writing and Directing and a minor in Communications. 5 years later, I graduated from #ChapmanU again with an MA in Film Theory. I'm running the Chapman Family Instagram account this week, and it should be an exciting one! Homecoming is almost here, and I'll be attending lots of events including my 10-year reunion. It will be a great opportunity for me to reminisce on #MyLifeAtCU.

March is Women's History Month, and we're celebrating it by highlighting the remarkable Lita Albuquerque. Raised by her single mother, Albuquerque was raised in Tunisia and Paris before settling down in Santa Monica, CA. Albuquerque's work is influenced by her life experiences. She is most known for her ephemeral works that were set in desert landscapes and drew from cosmological imagery. Her art examines and questions humanity's place within the vastness of the universe. This piece was commissioned for the Fish Interfaith Center at Chapman University.
