Thanks to Highland High School (Gilbert, Arizona) and our superb Chapman faculty for amazing instrumental clinics this morning! Coordinated by Robert Becker, Director of String Studies, we hosted over 300 talented musicians in four separate ensembles, led by Maestros Daniel Alfred Wachs and Christopher Nicholas, and joined by esteemed music faculty William Fitzpatrick, David Black, and Laszlo Mezo. Kudos to all involved - we would be honored to welcome you back at #ChapmanU any time!

Words of a Student: Hannah Malus '16 "I would not have the great fortune of attending Chapman University without my financial aid, much of which exists because of the generosity of those who have donated to the University. These past three years, Chapman University has presented me with incredible opportunities that will surely shape the rest of my life. I was able to study abroad for a semester in Cape Town, South Africa (and I now work in Chapman's Center for Global Education to help other students study abroad); I am currently assisting a Chapman faculty member with editing a scholarly journal; and I volunteer as a courtroom mediator after receiving outstanding dispute resolution training from Chapman's Peace Studies program. I cannot imagine my life without the generosity of the University's donors, who have inspired me to want to give back to Chapman once I am an alumna in order to provide future students with the same opportunities that I was fortunate enough to be given." Hannah Malus '16 Majors: Peace studies and political science, minor in sociology Hometown: Slidell, LA These words of appreciation were volunteered by Hannah Malus. If you are interested in supporting grateful students like Hannah while also increasing your retirement income, consider a charitable gift annuity with Chapman University. Many of our friends find this to be an exceptional way to be philanthropic and tax-wise, while also increasing their own sense of financial security. #TBT: Chapman 50 hosted a "White Glove Leatherby Libraries Tour." The Director of the Rogers Center for Holocaust Education, Professor Marilyn Harran, did a wonderful job describing and explaining the collection and artifacts in the Samueli Holocaust Library. The Dean of the Library, Charlene Baldwin, organized an exhibit of some of the incredible books in our Special Archives, including a history book published in 1493!!! Here's a photo taken with Chapman 50 members in front of the Samueli Library
