The piece was selected as part of a student-curated addition to the current exhibition on display, “1:1 — Pairings from the Escaeltte Collection of Art.” If you’re in or around AF, you should definitely stop by the second floor and take a look. It will be up until June 1st. #billyalbengston #watercolor #contemporaryart #fineart #chapmanuniversity #chapmanu #escalettecollection #studentcurated #whitegloveservice

Even as Camille Hyde ’15 pursues acting, earning her #ChapmanU degree in environmental science and policy has been her main goal and she remains committed to environmentalism. Thanks to summer school and some online courses, she will still walk with her graduating class on May 23. “They know how much I love Chapman and love my school. It’s my family, it’s my home. I really want to be here to graduate with my class,” she says. Now that's #PantherPride!

How do we reconnect to wilderness? And when we do what impact does it have on us? The Wilkinson College - Chapman University “ReWILDing” workshop will explore these questions during a panel discussion with Cheryl Strayed, author of "WILD: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail," on September 29th at 7pm. The Chapman Family is invited to participate in several events planned in conjunction with this event!

Grateful Faculty: Jason Keller, Ph.D. "I am truly thankful for the opportunity to be a professor in the Schmid College of Science and Technology at Chapman University. From mentoring research on wetland ecology, to snorkeling in the Galapagos during a travel course, to creating internships for Environment Science & Policy students, I get to support amazing young people as they discover themselves and develop their talents. With the launch of the Grand Challenges Initiative and the rapidly approaching opening of the new Center for Science and Technology, I am excited to see what Chapman’s students will accomplish in the coming years. Thank you donors for all that you do to allow Chapman to recruit and retain the best and the brightest students and faculty, develop innovative programs and work in world-class facilities." "This coming May, I will be retiring from Chapman University after 32 years. I’ve had the honor of teaching countless students, rising through the ranks from assistant professor to professor, and eventually serving as dean of Wilkinson College from 2002 to 2009. Since I arrived at little Chapman College in 1985, I’ve had many wonderful opportunities. One that stands out is my month-long interterm courses throughout the 1990s, taking Chapman students to Costa Rica to live with Costa Rican families, learn the language and culture, and to work on environmental, health and education projects. Like you, I’ve consistently supported the university that has given me so much, something that I will continue to do in retirement. Thank you for all that you do to insure that the university’s future just keeps getting brighter. I look forward to joining you as we continue to support the university we love." WORDS OF A STUDENT: Amanda Tatlock '15 "Being at Chapman for the past four years has been a dream come true. As cheesy as that sounds, it is true. My first visit to Chapman I fell in love with how beautiful the campus is. The opportunities I have had to grow in the classroom or in my spirituality were guided by thought-provoking professors. I chose my minor because of one professor who made me excited to go to class every day and to learn as much as I could about the subject; it was fun! As I prepare for my future, it is hard for me to imagine my life without Chapman, not being able to stop in the student union and see friendly faces of my peers or to take time out of my day to stop by the Fish Interfaith Center. I am forever grateful for what Chapman has provided me." Amanda Tatlock '15 Major: Psychology Hometown: Albuquerque, NM These words of appreciation were volunteered by Amanda Tatlock. When you include Chapman University in your estate plans, you give students like Amanda the opportunity to learn from thought-provoking professors. For more information, contact David B. Words of a Student: Amy Lam '19 "This is my first semester at Chapman University as a sophomore. Without the generosity of the donors, I would not be able to study here. As a transfer student, I must admit, I was worried about the smoothness of my transition. Instead, I found myself accepted and cared for by not only my new friends, but also my professors. I have complete faith that my years here at Chapman will be filled with love and support from the community, and I am excited to explore the resources on this campus. I am so happy with my decision to come here and am extremely proud to be part of the Chapman Family. Thank you again for your contributions. I am eternally grateful for your commitment to this University." Amy Lam '19 Majors: Physics and political science Hometown: Anaheim, CA These words of appreciation were volunteered by Amy Lam.
