I MISS MY CHAPMAN CREW(S) EVERYDAY 😭 (pic taken just before graduating). That summer after, was SOOOO hard. But you know what's awesome?! Although we aren't together 24/7 anymore, mosssst of my friendships have become stronger than ever. We've celebrated and supported each other through all the ups and downs of postgrad life. That's when you know it's real. And we travel to see each other! It's so fun to have a place to call home all across the US and GLOBE (I've seen a Chapman friend on EVERY single one of my many trips this year) SILVER LINING PEOPLE. SILVER LINING 🙈 #mylifeatcu

The Russian Orthodox Church inherited many of its saints from Byzantium, when the Kievan state converted to Christianity in 988. Thus, St. George became the patron saint of Moscow, St. Paraskeva presided over trade and women’s affairs, and St. Nicholas (“Nikola”) became a universal protector of the Russian people. Over time, Russian Orthodoxy acquired its own saints, such as Leontii of Rostov and Mitrofan of Voronezh. Bet (ב) is for blessing (ברכה). The recitation of blessings is an important aspect of the Jewish faith, and it is a key part of the Hanukkah celebration. Before each candle is lit, different blessings are recited to praise God and demonstrate the faithful’s sense of dutiful obligation. They express wonder at how blessed God is. During Hanukkah, blessings are usually sung together by family and friends gathered around the hanukkiah. Halloween is coming and we're counting down the days with a spooky selection of works from our collection. First in our eerie lineup is an untitled piece by artist Eric Freeman. Freeman has exhibited his work all over the world and has amazed his audiences with his use of color and unique styles. He works primarily with oil on canvas, employing a technique in which he gradually thins out the paint he applies using various brushstrokes at differing speeds. What do you see in Freeman's harsh brushstrokes? Ghosts? Skeletons? An electrical storm? Or could it be something darker...? #ChapmanU #chapmanart #art #EscaletteCollection #contemporaryart #painting #oilpainting #oiloncanvas #spooky #spookyart #ericfreeman #eerie #eerieart
