“Be present in all things and thankful for all things.” – Maya Angelou Today, this quote from Maya Angelou, who received an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Chapman University in 2007, is especially meaningful. We are thankful for our family of more than 40,000 alumni who are making an incredible impact in communities and businesses around the globe. What are you thankful for?

Inspiration for this Friday night. Enjoy the weekend, #ChapmanU Panthers! "Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Make this Thursday night a good one, #ChapmanU! "It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live your life so cautiously that you might as well not lived at all--in which case, you fail by default."-J.K. Rowling

#FBF to our Distinguished Speaker Series presenting Karen Parkin, the Chief Human Resource Officer of the Adidas Group. It was a very insightful speech, with Karen discussing the question "Can you have it all?", reflecting on the challenges and compromises one has to consider for certain career moves and differences in generational expectations. #ChapmanMBA #DistinguishedSpeaker #TakeBoldSteps

WORDS OF A STUDENT: Juliette Atchekzai '17 "As the first person in my family who will graduate from college, my family and I could never have imagined accomplishing what I have at the young age of 19. It’s clear to me that my dreams would not be possible without all that Chapman and the Chapman community, including readers like you, has blessed me with. As impossible as my goals of becoming a nationally broadcasted news reporter seem, I speak for all of my Chapman peers when I say it’s a very plausible reality because of the multitude of opportunities the experienced and knowledgeable faculty provide to students, the small class sizes that allow for individual attention, and the many innovative programs, courses, and facilities that prepare students for whatever future they choose. I want to sincerely thank you all from the bottom of my heart for enabling me to attend my happiest place on earth every single morning, and I truly hope to make the Chapman community proud."
