Lynne and I attended the wedding and reception of Elizabeth Lewis held at The Seattle Tennis Club. It was an absolutely beautiful Seattle summer day. The ceremony was on the Club’s spacious lawns that border Lake Washington. The Tennis Club was a perfect setting for the occasion since Elizabeth was a tennis star there as well as at Chapman when she was an All-American Champ. Elizabeth’s husband is Mark Symington. Although he received his J.D. from LMU, I’m trying to convince him to come back to the Fowler School of Law for an LLM. Here’s a photo of the beautiful bride surrounded by Lynne and me as well as her fellow Chapman alums. JLD

“Rosencrantz: I don't believe in it anyway. Guildenstern: What? Rosencrantz: England. Guildenstern: Just a conspiracy of cartographers, then? ” ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead GET TICKETS NOW for Tom Stoppard’s modern masterpiece "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead." Show runs April 9-11 and 16-18 at 7:30 pm; and April 18 at 2:00 pm in the Waltmar Theatre. For tickets visit chapman.edu/tickets. Part of Chapman University's Shakespeare Reimagined exploration of the Bard's influence across the arts, this fabulously inventive tale of Shakespeare's "Hamlet" drama is told from the worm's-eye view of the bewildered Rosencrantz and Guildenstern characters, Hamlet's treacherous friends in the play. But when they finally get a chance to take the leading roles, reality and illusion intermix, and our two heroes comically and tragically find their way to an inevitable end.

Chapman University - Marriage & Family Therapy Program
April 17, 2017
Meet Scott Fletcher (Class of 2018) and hear about his experience in the MFT Program at Chapman University . . . "My time in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Chapman has been filled with some of the most rewarding, challenging, and emotional moments of my personal and professional life. I feel that I have grown in ways that I could not have imagined. The support, encouragement, and guidance from the faculty has been instrumental in facilitating this growth. In addition, the experience I am gaining through working at the Frances Smith Center is invaluable as it preparing me to be a confident, competent and effective mental healthcare professional. I can confidently say that the colleagues I have met in this cohort will remain an integral part of my network throughout my career. This has truly been a life-altering experience."
