WORDS OF A STUDENT: Marissa Kolmer '17 "Christmas Eve of 2013 I received my acceptance letter into Chapman University. I was so happy that my number one school had accepted me, but at the same time, there was a wrenching feeling in my gut because I knew if I didn't get some form of financial aid and scholarship, there was no way I would be going to my dream school. Knowing I could possibly be heartbroken, I opened up the big packet Chapman had sent anyways to look at this first steps of registration. Little did I know that inside that massive packet would be a piece of paper that changed my entire life. I fell to the ground and cried. I had received a scholarship making it possible for me to follows dreams out to my number one school. So thank you. Thank you so very much to every single donor for making it possible for me to succeed and reach my goals at my dream school through helping me with tuition and through supplying me with the resources I need. Thank you." Marissa Kolmer '17 Majors: Communication studies and psychology minor Hometown: Hastings, MN These words of appreciation were volunteered by Marissa Kolmer.
