Chapman Business Report
March 23, 2015
OC job engine keeps firing--all pistons--just not the eight-cylinder engine power we've enjoyed in past expansions. From professional services to construction, from leisure and hospitality to education, all important sectors saw job growth in February 2015. OC's unadjusted rate of 4.6% unemployment is back to being enviable by most state and national standards. In a coming segment of Chapman Business Report we look for canaries in the coal mine both here and across the nation.

Earlier today, we hosted an amazing instrumental clinic for Red Mountain High School from Mesa, Arizona. Led by Maestro Daniel Alfred Wachs, Director of Orchestral Activities and Robert Becker, Director of String Studies, our faculty worked with John P. Haggard and his students on a rousing rendition of "The Firebird Suite" by Stravinsky. We would be honored to welcome you back at #ChapmanU any time!

Leatherby Libraries at Chapman University
May 17, 2016
Thanks President Doti and Chapman University's Office of the President for your Summer Reading List! Many of these items can be found in the Leatherby Libraries. For instance, this one: "As for nonfiction, a book that really changed my views on public policy is Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. In addition to being a provocative book with an important message, it’s also fast-paced and reads like a mystery." Found in the McNaughton collection (behind the reference desk), Leatherby Libraries, first floor.
