Happy #SweetheartSunday! Emerald (Stout) Bristol ’02 married Sean Bristol ’02 on May 13, 2005 in Walnut Grove, Calif. The couple met at Chapman University in sociology class. Their love story according to Emerald: “We met in sociology class debating. Then fell in love and enjoyed our college years with so many friends and experiences.” Alumni in the wedding party included Luke Hamon ‘02, John Brotherton ’02 and Will Matthews ’02.

A couple of years ago, I came to this university and caught a glimpse into the world of academia that even my closest friends and family never foresaw for me. Today, I was selected to be a representative for this particular degree program and talk to the newly admitted class about the trials and triumphs of the B.A. with one of my favorite advisors. Hopefully we did the program justice and convinced some to choose #chapmanu #istilllookthesame

Join us on Saturday for a live stream of the Grand Opening concert (featuring Placido Domingo) in Folino Theater at Marion Knott Studios, followed by a reception in the Cecil B. DeMille Rotunda Lobby. Cocktail attire is requested. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the live streaming concert begins at 6 p.m. This event is complimentary but seating is limited and reservations are required.
