Student Spotlight! Ryan Yokota is Senior Biological Sciences major and Nutrition minor from San Jose. During his time at Chapman he has served as an Orientation Leader for two years and has been a member of UPB for all four years. Ryan was recently accepted to University of the Pacific in San Francisco where he will be pursuing a degree in dentistry starting in July. Congrats Ryan!

Biological sciences major Jimena Ramirez, was president this year of Global Medical Brigades and has been part of the club for three years. “I’ve known I want to be a doctor for a while, and I was really interested in Doctors Without Borders,” Ramirez said. “When I came to Chapman and heard of this organization, I immediately was intrigued and decided to apply and got in.”

Ricky Courtney ’09 is a news producer at KING 5 TV in Seattle. He has been awarded a national Edward R. Murrow award, two Regional Edward R. Murrow awards and three Emmy awards. In 2015, he received an Emmy Award for Best News Producer in the Northwest. In 2016, he received two Emmy awards for his work producing special event coverage. In 2016, he and Rebecca Swart Perry ’03 received an Emmy award for their collaborative work. Congrats to Ricky and Rebecca! #chapmanalumni
