Lynne and I followed up the Chapman50 event last Thursday with an Alumni Board party at our home last Friday. The Wimberley Bluegrass Band entertained us as it did on Thursday but its set was completely new. The Wimberleys wowed the crowd. It was particularly nice to see Tom Elliott and Barbara Parker at the event. Given their recent health challenges, it was amazing to see them up and around. JLD

Call For Submissions- Reel Justice: Student Documentary Film Festival!! Submit your short documentary to be considered for selection in the 2015 Reel Justice Student Documentary Film Festival! This is open to all Chapman students. Films must be student-produced, no longer than 20 minutes, and explore a social issue of your choice. For our very first #TBT, Dr. William Hall leads the Chapman University Choir in a 2001 performance of the Verdi Requiem at St. Paul's Outside-the-Walls Basilica in Rome. This concert was done at the request of the Vatican, in memory of beloved conductor Giuseppe Sinopoli, who had died earlier in 2001. It was broadcast on Vatican Television, and was attended by more than 8,600 people including many cardinals and other dignitaries.
