Chapman University's Office of the President
April 2, 2015
Here is a photo of Chapman senior, Sean Davey in my office. Davey’s one of my favorites!!! He’s showing off his league football championship ring while I’m showing off our league trophy which is proudly displayed in my office. Notice on my coffee table the book that contains photos of all the Klein Family Foundation Community Engagement Program medal recipients. Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I stare at our football trophy or look at the photos of the kids we are helping in the Klein program. Believe me - it works! JLD

It's a GO!! After a weather delay of several days in Timika, Papua, President Doti and crew are finally helicoptering their way to the Carstensz Pyramid - a 3-mile-high beast, the tallest mountain in southeast Asia, that presents a very challenging technical climb. Let's send them some good thoughts for a safe and successful climb. They will be out of touch for the duration of the ascent and descent, but keep checking the blog - as soon as we hear anything, we'll post! - Mary Platt, Director of Communications, #ChapmanU https://blogs.chapman.edu/happenings/2015/09/01/president-doti-is-climbing-the-highest-peaks-in-new-guinea-and-australia/
