Here I am with Tim Kashani and Jerry Mandel on the venerable stage of the Palace Theatre in New York City where the new musical “An American Paris” is wowing the crowds. Congrats to Chapman alumnus, Tim Kashani, who is one of the producers of the musical which just garnered 12 Tony nominations. I’m a real devotee of musical theater and have seen the best of the best including Ethel Merman in “Gypsy.” But “An American in Paris” is at the top of my list. Brilliant staging and dancing. The leads Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope do the great Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron from the movie proud. JLD
