Chapman University Career and Professional Development

#TBT circa ‘16 when CEO and Executive Coach Susan Howington came to speak to Chapman University students and Alumni about how smart people sabotage their job search. Susan just published a new article titled “My best Career Advice to You” on LinkedIn. In the article, she highlights research that shows that attitude is the most important attribute in moving ahead in our careers – more important than IQ. Give her latest article a read, and then ask yourself, “Does my attitude reflect a fixed or growth mindset?” https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/my-best-career-advice-you-susan-howington

Chapman University Student Life
October 19, 2014
"For the first time, I got to engage with my peers on issues that really mattered. It was a safe space where we could deconstruct ideas of race, class, gender, ethnicity, religion and etc. We weren’t speaking in the abstract. We were talking about the issues that we faced at Chapman. We dealt with the immediate problems of our experiences. Each of us was given a voice. A dialogue was opened and conversation could begin." - Jay Noohu, past Next Step participant. Does this convince you to apply? If so, check out Jay's student blog post and follow the links to apply!
