Fowler School of Law
April 2, 2015
Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law celebrated its 20th Anniversary with 350 guests this past weekend on the University’s beautiful Attallah Piazza. The gala outdoor event included sponsors from top law firms, as well as alumni, students, faculty, judges, and VIPs. Attendees enjoyed a live music performance from the law school's "all star" alumni/student/faculty band, a wonderful dinner, and a spectacular fireworks show over the campus. Congrats to Fowler Law for an amazing first 20 years! Check out a full slideshow from the event here. http://ow.ly/L8Hxv

NEXT IN WALTMAR THEATRE: "A Flea in Her Ear," by David Ives, directed by Tamiko Washington. Based on the French farce by Georges Feydeau, this new version by Ives is a comical romp set in France at the turn of the 20th century. Raymonde Chandebise suspects her husband Victor is having an affair after he suddenly seems blasé about sex (though it’s actually due to a nervous condition). This sets off a whirlwind of comic mishaps, wild misunderstandings, and hilarious exchanges at the Frisky Puss Hotel! Tickets available NOW: Call (714) 997-6624 or visit chapman.edu/tickets.

Sophomore biological sciences major Caitlin Molina traveled last summer to Nicaragua for 10 days to provide medical assistance, complete public health projects, and work on creating a water system. The aim: give communities access to clean drinking water and a path toward becoming self-sustaining. This summer she will travel to Panama with Global Medical Brigades (for which she serves as treasurer). Currently, she volunteers at Lestonnac Free Clinic as a volunteer health assistant to help provide health care for low income and uninsured patients. And if all that wasn't enough to make you proud of this Panther, Caitlin also serves as executive secretary for Chapman's Women in Science and Technology (#WIST) organization!

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween yesterday! Some of the CoPA staff took a few moments to enjoy some of the Chapman Halloween revelry yesterday! Although our emoji pumpkins didn't win, we had a blast making them together as a team. And getting into costume was pretty fun, too.
